Jeff Conant, former Hesperian staffer and co-author of A Community Guide to Environmental Health, is at the United Nations COP 16 climate negotiations in Cancun, Mexico this week. He is working with Global Justice Ecology Project, Indigenous Environmental Network, Global Exchange, Climate Justice Now! and a host of other organizations, to draw attention to the urgent need for governments, civil society, and the international community to develop solutions to the ecological crisis. These solutions must be just, equitable, and based in human rights and the rights of nature.
