broken redirects

There are a couple of workarounds at work, I'm afraid. Because of the way we migrated the content, there were a lot of duplicate pages which were replaced with a lot of redirects. Also, there are several levels of editing authority for different members. To allow articles to be edited by an Author member, a Topic Editor member moves it temporarily to the Template space, which does break all links to it while it is being edited. We're open to better ideas...
