Barry G. Rabe

Barry G. Rabe is a professor of public policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He also holds appointments in the School of Natural Resources and Environment and the Program in the Environment and serves as a non-resident senior fellow in the Governance Studies Program at the Brookings Institution. Rabe is the author of four books, including Statehouse and Greenhouse: The Evolving Politics of American Climate Change Policy, which received the Lynton Keith Caldwell Award from the American Political Science Association in 2005. His current work focuses on climate policy development in competing federal systems, with a primary focus on the United States. In 2006, he became the first social scientist to win a Climate Protection Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
