Biography:
Dr. Ajay Singh Nagpure is aPost Doctoral Associate at Center for Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy, Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities USA. He previously held a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh (NC) USA. He earned his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology – IIT Roorkee a premier technological institution of India.
His research interests lie in the area of air pollution and climate change, with focus on emission estimation, traffic emission modeling, health risk assessment, solid, waste management. He started his research career with India’s leading research institutes Zoological Survey of India and Wildlife Institute of India. After that he joined as a Research Fellow in Civil Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee under the project entitled “Megacities and Global Change: An integrated study of South Asian megacities emission and their local-to-global impacts on air quality and climate” sponsored by Max Planck Society, Germany.
Dr. Nagpure has authored several articles on emissions inventory, health risk assessment of South Asian city in prestigious peer reviewed scientific journals. Currently he is focusing on the methodology development for disaggregated emissions estimation of air pollution and greenhouse gas in developing countries.
