An important part of university study is self-reflection. You are required to prepare a learning reflection for the final course assignment and this learning challenge will give you the opportunity to practice and refine your skills in preparing a learning reflection.

How to Write a Reflection Essay by Melissa Wehler
Purpose
The purpose of this learning reflection challenge is to:
- provide evidence of your learning by clarifying the connections between your experience (what you already know) and what you have learned during this learning pathway;
- become a reflective practitioner.
Tasks
These activities will help you prepare your written learning reflection.
- Consult the stimulus resources on reflective writing.
- Think about the topics covered during this course in relation to the objectives and stated purposes of the learning challenges.
- Generate a bullet list of your prior experience and knowledge of the topic before you attempted this section of the course.
- List WHAT you have learned, and HOW you learned it.
- Think about your response or reaction to the new knowledge and insights derived from the literature you have studied.
Outputs
- Prepare and publish a blog post (500–600 words) that reflects on your learning in the online environment.
- Your post should include the following:
- Description: Describe specifically what happened.
- Evaluation: What was “good” and “bad” about the experience?
- Analysis: What did you learn? How do you feel about it now? How did it change you?
- Conclusion: What alternatives did you have at the time? What else could you have done?
- Plan: What new knowledge or skills do you bring? How will your experience inform your future learning?
- Remember to include the course tag so it it automatically included in the course feed.
