Lowndesboro is a town located in Lowndes County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 140.

Lowndesboro is located at 32°16'23" North, 86°36'36" West (32.273118, -86.609915)1.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 140 people, 58 households, and 40 families residing in the town. The population density is 67.6/km² (176.0/mi²). There are 62 housing units at an average density of 29.9/km² (77.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 71.43% White, 25.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.43% from other races, and 2.14% from two or more races. 3.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
