The Gratis Book Program distributes free copies of Hesperian’s community health books to health workers, teachers and community leaders in low-income countries. Run by volunteers and supported by individual donations, we send more than 1,000 books each year to people all over the world. Please help us spread good health by donating to the Gratis Book Program.

Who Can Apply

Due to limited funds, we are unable to fulfill all the requests we receive. Program decisions are based on applicant’s lack of access to financial resources and country of work. Low-income countries have priority. Groups that work with vulnerable U.S. populations may also be accepted. If you are unsure if you qualify, contact us directly. We also offer discounts on bulk order purchases for your work.
