The Turkish restaurant is in a small side road at the end of High Street, so
it’s easy to not miss. I went there on Friday evening with a friend of mine.
When expecting little choice, we went in for a quick meal and we were pleasantly
more surprised. We helped ourselves to several cold starters from the
self-service display, and we ordered us a couple of hot ones form the menu.
Most of them were vegetarian and they were all excellent. We felt quite
full so we have asked the waiter to recommend something small for our main
course. Well, I had a small lamb kebab, and my friend had a small chicken
kebab. Both of them were being really quite large! The meat tasted very good
and the rice and salad that came with it was just even right. We looked at the
desserts on the menu – and wanted to try over every one of them – but we
simply couldn’t eat up any more ! And all this , with Turkish coffee at the end,
was less than £ 25.00 ! I’d really recommend the Sultan’s Palace – it’s
friendly and inexpensive, and I’m certain that anything on the single menu
will be just perfect !
