Vintondale is a borough located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 528.

Geography

Vintondale is located at 40°28'42" North, 78°54'51" West (40.478370, -78.914097)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.00% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 528 people, 210 households, and 145 families residing in the borough. The population density is 443.2/km² (1,143.7/mi²). There are 231 housing units at an average density of 193.9/km² (500.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 210 households out of which 29.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% are married couples living together, 11.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.5% are non-families. 26.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 21.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
