Viking Line is one of the major
Finnish shipping companies[?] operating a fleet of large combined ferry/cruise ships between
Finland,
Åland Islands,
Sweden and
Estonia. Viking Line traces its roots back to the start of ferry traffic between
Sweden, the
Åland Islands and
Finland. Viking Line AB was formed as a marketing company owned by three of the ferry operators. After
Sally Line AB[?] and later
Slite AB[?] went out of business due to bad investments the remaining operator SF Line integrated Viking Line and later changed its name to the same.
Viking Line is operated from the Åland Islands.
