Tullytown is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 2,031.

Geography

Tullytown is located at 40°8'42" North, 74°49'4" West (40.145077, -74.817841)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 5.4 km² (2.1 mi²). 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 24.88% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 2,031 people, 803 households, and 501 families residing in the borough. The population density is 496.3/km² (1,289.2/mi²). There are 819 housing units at an average density of 200.1/km² (519.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 97.74% White, 1.48% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.15% from two or more races. 1.38% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 803 households out of which 29.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.7% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.5% are non-families. 33.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.52 and the average family size is 3.24.

In the borough the population is spread out with 24.5% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 92.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 90.6 males.
