Timothy Zahn

Timothy Zahn is a science fiction novelist. He is best known for a Star Wars trilogy that picks up where Return of the Jedi left off: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command. These books spawned a slough of other Star Wars novels and story collections by authors like Kevin J. Anderson and Michael A. Stackpole[?]. Zahn later wrote two additional Star Wars novels, collectively called The Hand of Thrawn series, and contributed to several Star Wars short story collections.

Zahn's work isn't limited to Star Wars, though. He has also written the widely popular Conqueror's Series, which tell the story of a war between humans and a race of aliens that have indestructable spaceships and never die (well, they die, but they stick around...).
