Macedonian language

Redirected from Slavic Macedonian Language

The Macedonian language (Македонски, Makedonski) is a language in the Eastern group of South Slavic languages. It is spoken by two million people in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and other countries where Slavic emigrants of this region live.

Like the other members of the Eastern South Slavic group, but unlike other Slavic languages this macedonian variance has no noun cases, but has three different definite articles, which are used as suffixes.

A modified Cyrillic script is used for writing.

The Old Church Slavonic language was based on a Slavic dialect spoken in Macedonia in the 8th century, but does not resemble macedonian as spoken today more than other Slavic languages.
