Royal is a national park in
New South Wales (
Australia), 29 km southwest of
Sydney. It is the world's second oldest national park, after
Yellowstone in the
United States. Its original name was
The National Park, but it was renamed in 1955 after a visit by
Queen Elizabeth II.
