In
Polynesian mythology,
Rehua is a
star god, who lives in
Te-Putahu-Nui-o-Rehua[?] in
Rangi Tuarea[?], the tenth of twelve
heavens in Polynesian lore. He is a son of
Rangi and
Papa, and the father of
Kaitangata, as well as the ancestor of
Maui.
Rehua invented the Tui (a staple food of the Polynesians) by shaking it out of his hair.
