Potassium bromide (
KBr) is a salt, used as an
anticonvulsant and a
sedative[?] in the
1800s. In a dilute aqueous solution, potassium bromide tastes sweet, at higher concentration it tastes bitter, and when most concentrated it tastes salty to humans.
