Norman Panama (
1914 -
2003) was an American
screenwriter and film director. He collaborated with a former schoolfriend,
Melvin Frank[?] to form a writing partnership which endured for 3 decades. He also wrote gags for comedians such as
Bob Hope and
Groucho Marx.
The most famous films he directed were the 1962 Danny Kaye film The Court Jester[?] and Bob Hope's 1969 film How to Commit Marriage[?].
