This is a list of people who have, for one reason or the other, been deemed as controversial by a group of people, including newspaper writers, historians, officials, and the public in general. In some cases, the group that classified the person as controversial will also be identified. Please feel free to add anyone who is not in the list and who has been deemed as controversial.
