Leading question

A leading question is a question which contains or implies its own answer, and invites the witness to give the answer suggested by the attorney.

Generally only permitted in court when dealing engaging in cross-examination or dealing with a hostile witness.

Example of a leading question: "you knew where you were going, didn't you?"
