Not to be confused with spam, which includes unsolicited commercial email (UCE) and posting of large numbers of off-topic messages to Usenet newsgroups.
Hormel maintains a trademark on the use of the word "Spam" to refer to any sort of meat product, but does not attempt to block its use in the sense of unwanted Internet mass-mailings and mass-postings.
