Glenn Fleishman is a
freelance[?] journalist who writes regularly for the
New York Times, the
Seattle Times[?],
Macworld magazine[?],
InfoWorld[?], and
O'Reilly Networks[?]. He maintains glennf.com, wifinetnews.com, realworldgolive.com, and other sites. Glenn received an undergraduate degree in art (graphic design) from
Yale University, and worked at the Eastman Kodak Company's
Center for Creative Imaging in
Camden, Maine in the early 90s as the course manager, running systems and helping develop curriculum. Glenn moved from Maine to Seattle in 1993, where he still resides, to work for Open House, a book packager producing computer books for
Peachpit Press. Glenn founded one of the first Web development firms,
POPCO, in 1994, and sold it to join
Amazon.com in 1996. He left Amazon.com after six months to work as a freelance writer and conference chair.
