EncycloZine

EncycloZine is an online encyclopedia and bookstore with reviews and articles on many topics in Applied Arts and Sciences, Arts and Culture, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Reference and Research, and Space and Astronomy.

It comprises 3 sub-sites: Artzia (arts and humanities), Eluzions (games, puzzles, and illusions), and Kosmoi (science and technology). The largest sections are on web development, and astronomy. The most popular is the optical illusions section.

There are over 1,000 articles, written by several authors or adapted from open / public domain resources. Most articles also list recommended books and websites on the article subject.

The first site to use & teach HTML's successor, XHTML, EncycloZine is produced by Alan & Lucy Richmond, founders of the web's first commercially succesful site for web developers, the Web Developer's Virtual Library (http://WDVL.com/), now owned by internet.com.
