Drumlin

A drumlin is a hill formed by glacial action. It begins as a terminal moraine, formed from a pile of debris transported to the toe of the glacier by its movement. If the glacier then extends its range, overrunning the terminal moraine, it may carve the moraine into a cigar-shaped hill whose long axis is parallel with the movement of the ice; a drumlin.
