Culture Wars era. Similar crisis eras of American history include the
American Revolution,
American Civil War, and the twin emergencies of the
Great Depression and
World War II.

- Generation X will be in midlife, applying survival skills learned in childhood to new problems.
- Generation Y will be in rising adulthood.
- A new generation (Generation Z?) will be entering childhood.
