Civilization II is the sequel to
Sid Meier's
Civilization. The game features new ideas, such as firepower (meaning phalanxes can't beat battleships), and changes some units' abilities and strengths--for instance, engineers and settlers can be automated to improve surrounding areas, but no longer ignore enemy zones of control. Attack strength of the cruise missile has been decreased; defense strength of
stealth bombers[?] has been increased.
