Bratmobile was a
1990s American
riot grrl band, formed in
1991 (see
1991 in music) by
Erin Smith[?],
Molly Neuman[?] and
Allison Wolfe[?]. They debuted at the
International Pop Underground[?] festival of 1991 and began releasing singles. Their first LP,
Pottymouth[?], came out in
1993 (see
1993 in music), followed by
The Real Janelle[?], a
1994 (see
1994 in music) EP that became the band's final studio recording. Neuman joined
The Peechees[?], while Smith and Wolfe formed
Cold Cold Hearts[?] before reforming in
1999 (see
1999 in music) to open for
Sleater-Kinney and release
Ladies, Women and Girls[?] in
2000 (see
2000 in music).
