Angel Falls

Angel Falls [Salto Angel] is the world's highest free-leaping waterfall at 3,212-feet [978-meters] on a tributary of the Rio Caroni. They were discovered by the American aviator, James Crawford Angel, on a flight whilst searching for gold. The official height was determined by a National Georgaphic Society survey ['Jungle Journey to the World's Heghest Waterfall'] in 1949.
