Abbess
Agnes of Gandersheim, was the daughter of
Judith of Swabia and
Ladislaus Herman of Poland. She was the granddaughter of
Henry II, Holy Roman Emperor. Agnes became an abbess at Gandersheim, place of several famous women, such as
Hroswitha of Gandersheim, recorded by
Conrad Celtes.
The name Agnes[?] was given to several royal/imperial females.
