Wikipedians by ethnicity

Wikipedia has users from all over the world, so naturally there are many races represented by those users. Given that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and has a stated policy of NPOV, "race" is generally considered a non-subject-- it has little or no scientific meaning, and therefore its sociological meanings are seen as only POV.

• Todd W. Smith - I am Scotch-Irish-German. Frightening stuff, there. What more can I say? Oh, and, thank God, err... me, that I didn't sign here under 'Human with a pogo stick', which I was going to, but I didn't want to look like some sort of FREAK.. Oh, and whenever I step on a pogo stick, it explodes and the freefalling parts aim for the nearest human eyeballs. Frightening stuff, there.

• Mbecker, I think that categorizing oneself by race is as bad as categorizing oneself by religion. It shouldn't matter (even though I don't care if people know what race I am).
• zeno, well, categorizing oneself by "race" is worse, as you may (more or less) freely choose your religion. Hm, well, you can somewhat choose your race, too ;-)
