With a couple of clicks you can find answers to the following: What Jesus taught about prayer in each stage of discipleship; When was John 3:16 spoken?; What chronological order a list of verses should go in, and find out which are parallel passages, too!; What kind of buying power a stater would have today (other weights, measures converted, too); Where the Seven Last Words from the Cross are (and never have to hunt for them again); What happened in the Gospel records in AD 30?; What the parallel passages to any Gospel verse are (and copy and paste to your other Bible study software!); and, Where Capernaum and Zebulon are. THE CHRISTIAN RESOURCE LIST BY RICH PALAREA [new 8/96]
http://pages.prodigy.com/richpal/index.html
Richard Palarea's Christian Resource List is something more than a list. Although Rich has assembled a good set of networking facts, as he has written, the most important work centers around those pages that he has developed for prayer requests and for prayers answered. It makes the list something more than a place to stop for more information. Since Rich is associated with Calvary Chapel we know that care is taken in this respect to prayer. This alone would be reason enough for our recommendation of Mr. Palarea's site. But, if you do go to request prayer, or to join in intercession, you will find a document on Heaven. You will browse through the sections on Churches, Movie and Video Review, A Product for the Health Conscious, Codes in the Bible, Merchandise, Organizations, List Servers, Bible Studies, Chat, Music, Israel, JC Decal, FTP Sites, autobiographical information, News Groups and Broadcasts.

CHRISTIAN RESOURCES ON THE WEB [new 10/96]
http://www.students.uiuc.edu/~s-schim/christian/christian.html
One of the best organized, if not _the_ best organized, Christian guides detailing organizations and repositorys here on the internet. From our travels around the internet, this is also one of the most popular guides, and deservedly so. This scholarly compilation of geologist Steve Schimmrich is set forth in three major sections. Christian Life includes categories: ministries, missions, evangelism, family, pro-life, self help, sexuality, politics, and entertainment. Christian Study includes categories: Bibles, Bible reference, Bible study, biblical languages, devotionals, literature, Church history, religious studies, preaching, apologetics, and famous Christians. Organized Religion includes sections: denominations, Catholic, parachurch, Christian communities, sects, cults, ecumenical, Judicia, and other belief systems. Highly recommended for the top of your bookmarks collection.

THE CHRISTIAN TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOOLKIT [new 4/96]
http://bible.acu.edu/ctt/ctt-home.htm
A project of the Computer Aides Ministry Society, headed by Greg Slade, the CTT incorporates an immense amount of current information of use to ministries who wish to use on-line services or go on line. The stated purpose of CTT is to gather all of the information possible on electronic communications, and make it available to churches and other Christian organisations in a convenient format. That is the reason for the Christian Telecommunications Toolkit. The Christian Telecommunications Toolkit will be a book with articles on general aspects of telecommunications..." Included on site are sections of the Toolkit, including inforation on: BBS Networks, Commercial Systems, Using FAX modems, a Christian and Messianic Jewish BBS List, Lists of Discussion Areas, a FAX/E-mail Directory of Christian Organizations, Software for the Toolkit, a Glossary of Telecommunications Terms and Online Shorthand, etc. As with all of Greg's work, this information is extremely well articulated, and despite the technical nature of the subjects presented, easily understood and, yes, even entertaining. Read the book!

CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP [new 9/96]
http://apu.edu/~CTRF/
CTRF is the Christian Theological Research Fellowship, a scholarly, Christian organization promoting systematic and moral theology, along with related disciplines. The Fellowship gathers to provide Christian fellowship among academic theologians; to provide an ecumenical and international forum in North America for the development of Christian doctrine and ethics; to stimulate Christian theological thinking in the context of the AAR/SBL convention; to stimulate theological renewal that focuses on the mainstream of Christian tradition, guided by the belief that theology is truth-seeking (fides quaerens intellectum); and, to provide various avenues for the publication of academic theology. The focus of the group, set forth in their mission statement, lies in the development and advancement of the Apostolic tradition (the mainstream or consensus of Christian doctrinal history), not simply in its description or criticism. -- quoted from What is the CTRF. The web site provides the fellowship's CTRF News and Notes, Papers presented at the annual meeting of the CTRF, and the Journal for Christian Theological Research, all described in the Journals/ Newsletters section of this guide.

A CHRISTIAN THINK TANK: DIRECTORY OF QUESTIONS [new 5/97]
http://www.webcom.com/ctt/direct.html
The Directory of Questions is a major apologetics resource of value to apologists, and regular folk like you and I, from Unravelling Wittengenstein's Net. The site's originator is trying to unravel things for you and I, to assist us to obey the apostle Paul's injunction from First Thessalonians 5:21: "Critically examine everything. Hold on to the good." Major sections in the Directory include: Questions of Fact; Questions of Opinion; Arguments; Big Pieces; and, A New Testament Bias Debate. The directory is a small, but essential, part of the much larger set of pages at Unravelling Wittengenstein's Net: A Christian Think Tank. The work presented at this site is based on " one man's Christian journey through 20th-century Western thought. It contains his reflections on philosophy, on theology, on spirituality, on apologetics. These are not abstract opinions, but rather serious, committed, and honest attempts to confront the urgent and contemporary questions of skeptics, of believers, of himself, and of his God..." Very highly recomended.

THE CHRISTIAN ZONE!! [new 7/96]
http://www.ed.ac.uk/~jamesmd/czone/index.html
The Christian Zone!! is a set of local and internet resources provided through the work of James MacDonnell from the University of Edinbourgh. Mr. MacDonnell has provided a number of interesting personal resources. Included are his testimony, and a review of his 6-week stay in Papua New Guinea under the auspices of New Tribes. (Anyone considering a visit to PNG or neighboring areas or who has ever been in the area will appreciate James' account.) Another file, called Four Persons provides a lesson about responsibility. Despite its simplicity, it still made this Christian stop and think. There is a poem for suffering disciples, God Hath Not Promised. Mr. MacDonnell also provides a number of internet links under section for Quiet Time, Bible Study, Christian Radio (which also references radio ministries that do not yet have an internet presence), and Missions. He has collected a great set of links for mission related sites. Which brings us back to the six weeks in Papua New Guinea. The pages represented here are not impersonnel pages. They represent something special and personal from James MacDonnell. It is not the wonder of web page building that has made this set of pages something more than a set of web pages. It is the wonder of God in a Christian life. May we recommend a visit.
